Gigi Hadid Shares Photos Of Her Remodeled NYC Apartment

Gigi Hadid just gave fans an intimate look inside her home. Over the weekend, the model shared a series of photos of her recently renovated New York City apartment, what she called her “passion project.”

“Spent all of last year designing and curating my passion project / dream spot,” Hadid wrote on Instagram alongside a slideshow of pics of her kitchen, bathroom, living space, and other areas around home.

The photos reveal an eclectic design theme, with lots of colors, patterns, and textures throughout. According to Harper’s Bazaar, the redesign includes bohemian-inspired furniture and decor from the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier, Missoni, and Eamon Harrington. Hadid also went with some unique art installations, if you will, including a bathroom wall covered in old issues of The New Yorker and pasta-facade kitchen cabinets.

It’s definitely not a home for minimalists, but the vibe is warm and welcoming, reflective of the model’s personality. In her post, she thanked the creatives “who embraced my ideas and didn’t call me crazy,” including her mom, Yolanda Hadid, and architect Gordon Kahn, who worked with her on the makeover.

Hadid went onto explain how the project was completed right before she left the city to quarantine at her family's farm house in Pennsylvania. “Of course it all came together right before quarantining out of the city…. but I’m excited for the time I’ll get to spend enjoying all the special corners that were made,” she wrote.

It's unclear if she's back in the newly renovated apartment for good, but the timing would make sense, as Hadid is expected to give birth in September. In April, she announced she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Zayn Malik and the two have since been staying together in PA. No nursery photos were released, but we imagine it's just as eclectic and vibrant.

According to Variety, Hadid combined “two separate condos into one massive Manhattan duplex with a mansion-sized 5,000 square feet of living space.” It reportedly features five bedrooms and six bathrooms, as well as high ceilings and an open floor plan throughout the unit. The penthouse, which is located in downtown NYC, is said to be worth over $5.8 million dollars.
