While Harry Styles fans are poring over the internet looking for clues to signal the launch of his next album, there is another reason why Styles is making headlines.
In 2025, the singer ran a marathon in an impressive time of 2:59:13. How did he do it? With help from trainer Thibo David, and a grueling workout routine.
Learn more about his workout below.
Harry Styles’ Workout Routine
To get a marathon time that good, the training is intense.
Styles’ trainer Thibo David revealed his training program in an interview with The Independent. During the interview, David mentioned the superstar’s one-mile personal best sits at 5 minutes and 13 seconds.
Plus, it’s important to note that while the workout sessions may have been tough, they were flexible and built around how Styles was recovering after each session.
“‘Some days we’d focus purely on recovery. Other days it might be mobility, or we’d add boxing depending on what he had coming up, because he really enjoys that. We mixed it up a lot.'”
The main backbone of the workout is running, then moves into strength training, conditioning circuits, core work, and finally a cool down.
The cool down is essential to the workout, bringing the body back to its normal state and allowing Styles to complete the rest of his day.

People Trying the Workout

Harry Styles isn’t the only one trying this workout. Harry Bullmore from CoachWeb decided to undertake the workout routine for a day.
While it felt like “every part of [his] body felt like it had been put through the ringer,” he “had a lot of fun doing it” and ended up being “very, very hungry.”
Bullmore got a deeper look into the workout when he talked with David about the routine and his work with Styles.
David was full of “openness and honesty,” and when asked about Styles, he said, “Collaborating with Styles was an absolute delight; his commitment is unparalleled.”
But for those wanting to jump on the fitness trend, David has some advice. “…it’s important to note that this level of training isn’t suitable for everyone. Harry was inherently fit, but achieving the level of fitness needed for this session still required time, work and effort. Rushing into such high-volume workouts can pose risks.”
So if you’re willing to try something new, perhaps the Styles workout may be your next project. Always remember, though, to take the workout at your own pace and let your body adjust to the workout.
