Unlike her sisters, Kendall Jenner isn’t known for making frequent changes to her hairstyle. Her long brown hair is typically styled in loose waves or pulled back into a tight bun. But for the Prada Fall Winter Ready-to-Wear runway on February 24, the model debuted a dramatic transformation: red hair. And while many people assumed she would promptly go back to her signature brunette shade, she is still rocking the red hue in Paris — and appears to be having a lot of fun while she’s at it.

The supermodel has been photographed multiple times during Paris Fashion Week, both on runways and in the street, showcasing her freshly-dyed strands. For the Off-White Show on February 28, Jenner modeled a black sequinned mini dress and a matching baseball hat with a veil topping her fiery red hair. Off duty, Jenner has been serving ‘90s supermodel vibes, pairing her copper strands with slinky black dresses, straight-leg jeans, leather bomber jackets, and cropped tank tops.

Jenner’s red hair was thought up by iconic hairstylist Guido Palau, who was in charge of creating all of the hair looks for models at the Prada show, which celebrated the “history of women” with reflections of vintage designs. Similarly, the inspiration behind the hair for the show was ’90s minimalism.

Palau and his team styled the models’ stands in sleek, structured chignons, reminiscent of the decade’s supermodels, like Shalom Harlow and Naomi Campbell, slicking their hair back into effortless updos that emphasized their chiseled features. “In the ’90s, updos were a way to minimalize,” Palau told Vogue of his vision. “The simplicity, and that heavily lacquered-down feeling was very key to the look.”

As for Jenner’s new hair color? It was colorists Jenna Perry and Matt Rez who were responsible for that transformation. The shade appears to be vibrant copper red with shadow roots that give the look a cool edge, fitting of the ’90s theme. Linda Evangelista immediately comes to mind.

We love to see Jenner trying new looks, and this just goes to show the supermodel really can pull off anything. Still, we have to wonder how long she’ll keep it.
