Kimye might not be over quite yet. Just six months after Kim Kardashian officially filed for divorce from Kanye West, it seems like there’s still a chance they might work things out. The 40-year-old mogul has attended multiple listening party events for West’s new album Donda, even taking the stage in a wedding dress during a recent performance in Chicago. The appearance itself was enough to spark rumors of a reconciliation, but now sources have said that Kim is “open” to reconciling with her husband.
“Kanye wants to get back with Kim and he has been trying to win her over again and reprove himself,” a source close to the pair told Entertainment Tonight. “Kim and Kanye have a deep love for each other and many amazing memories and it’s difficult to just let that all go.” According to the source, Kim’s main focus right now is doing what’s best for her children and family.
The insider continued: “She is open to seeing where things go with Kanye and to see if they can work through their issues as a couple. Regardless of what happens, Kim and Kanye plan to coparent in a healthy way and will always maintain a supportive relationship.”
Since news of the divorce broke earlier this year, Kim has continued to show her public support for West. On a Keeping Up With The Kardashians reunion show earlier this summer, she said that she was still his “biggest fan.” “We have an amazing co-parenting relationship and I respect him so much,” the star said. “I will forever be Kanye’s biggest fan. He’s the father of my kids. Kanye will always be family.”
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West married in 2014 and share four children together: North (8), Saint (5), Chicago (3), and Psalm (2). In February 2021, Kim filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The split came following a slew of controversies surrounding West as well as his very public mental health battles. Prior to West, Kim was married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004 and basketball player Kris Humpries from 2011 to 2013.
