Scarlett Johansson is pregnant! According to Page Six, the actress is expecting her first child with husband Colin Jost and due to give birth any day now.
“Scarlett is actually due soon, I know she and Colin are thrilled,” a source told the publication. Another added: “Scarlett is pregnant but has been keeping it very quiet. She has been keeping a very low profile.”
Speculation of a pregnancy began in June when the award-winning actress was noticeably absent from in-person events for Black Widow, the new Marvel movie she stars in and executive produced.
With a release date of July 9, Johansson’s costars have been busy promoting the film IRL while she has been fulfilling promotional appearances via Zoom, filmed from the shoulders up. As Page Six points out, she was also absent from the Black Widow screening in the Hamptons on Friday, July 2.
Neither Johansson nor Jost have confirmed the pregnancy, and considering the couple keeps a relatively low profile, we don’t expect them to comment on the news.
The pair were first linked in May 2017 and made their relationship public later that year by appearing on a red carpet together. They quietly wed in October 2020 after dating for three years, exchanging vows in a small ceremony at their home in Palisades, NY, surrounded by immediate family and close friends.
This will be Johansson’s second child; she shares a daughter, Rose, who is now 6, with her ex-husband Romain Dauriac. Sources close to the couple say Jost enjoys being a step-father, so he is surely excited to start a family of his own.
