Home decor is forever evolving, but there’s one design category that’s held its ground for literally centuries. We’re talking about statues. From handsome busts to brass figurines to pop art-inspired sculptures, the statue art trend is definitely thriving right now. According to 1stDibs, a design marketplace, 48 percent of 750 worldwide design professionals surveyed said they planned to use more sculptures to decorate.

“This trend can be incorporated into any space,” says interior designer Anna Franklin, owner of Stone House Collective. “It’s an artful statement that transitions gracefully out of museums and into the home.” She says these pieces work best as secondary accent pieces versus focal points. (Unless, of course, it’s an enormous piece with deep meaning that you want to boldly display.)

Instead, incorporate smaller pieces as a statement element on bookshelves, side tables, or an entryway console. Ready to lean into the trend? Scroll through and shop some designer-approved statue art below. From bust sculptures to leggy candles and vases shaped like bums, today’s trend is a playful take on Greco-Roman art.
