Amy Schumer Shows Off Her C-Section Scar In Nude Selfie

Almost two years after welcoming her son, Gene, Amy Schumer is showing her post-baby body some love. On Sunday, the comedian bared it all in a selfie posted to her Instagram. 

In the photo, Schumer poses nude while strategically covering her breasts in front of the bathroom mirror. She took this opportunity to celebrate the scar, seen just below her bikini line, from the C-section she underwent in May 2019. 

“Feeling like my c section looks cute today! #hotgirlwinter #csection,” Schumer captioned the post. Indeed it does. 

The comment section is full of praise for her post-baby body positive post. “Amen sister! Scars are beautiful,” wrote one follower. 

Others took it as a reminder to show their own scars some love. “Beautiful body! I need to love my c-section more,” wrote another fan. Another added: “Thank you for helping me feel more okay with mine.” 

Of course, Schumer's friends chimed in, too. “Whatever transported Genie on this planet is to be relished,” wrote friend Jessica Seinfeld, wife of comedian Jerry Seinfeld. “P.S. body.” 

Schumer had a particularly rough pregnancy due to a rare condition called hyperemesis gravidarum. She delivered her son via an elective C-section that was complicated, but both her and baby were okay. 

In keeping with her character, Schumer continued to keep it real with fans after bring her baby boy home. Holding nothing back, she shared intimate snapshots of life as a new mom, including everything from breast pumping to wearing adult diapers. 

And in January 2020, the comedian revealed she was trying for another baby. Opening up about her struggles with IVF, she posted a photo a photo of her scarred stomach to Instagram. 

“I’m a week into IVF and feeling really run down and emotional. If anyone went through it and if you have any advice or wouldn’t mind sharing your experience with me please do,” she wrote alongside the raw photo. “We are freezing my eggs and figuring out what to do to give Gene a sibling.” 

Though she and husband Chris Fischer were interested in having another child, Schumer recently revealed that their plans to grow their family are currently on hold. However, she said she has two embryos that could be implanted into a gestational carrier, should they choose to explore surrogacy. 

For now, Schumer seems to be enjoying every moment with her adorable son, who is 20 months old.
