Of course, Schumer's friends chimed in, too. “Whatever transported Genie on this planet is to be relished,” wrote friend Jessica Seinfeld, wife of comedian Jerry Seinfeld. “P.S. body.”
Schumer had a particularly rough pregnancy due to a rare condition called hyperemesis gravidarum. She delivered her son via an elective C-section that was complicated, but both her and baby were okay.

And in January 2020, the comedian revealed she was trying for another baby. Opening up about her struggles with IVF, she posted a photo a photo of her scarred stomach to Instagram.
“I’m a week into IVF and feeling really run down and emotional. If anyone went through it and if you have any advice or wouldn’t mind sharing your experience with me please do,” she wrote alongside the raw photo. “We are freezing my eggs and figuring out what to do to give Gene a sibling.”
Though she and husband Chris Fischer were interested in having another child, Schumer recently revealed that their plans to grow their family are currently on hold. However, she said she has two embryos that could be implanted into a gestational carrier, should they choose to explore surrogacy.
For now, Schumer seems to be enjoying every moment with her adorable son, who is 20 months old.
