Ashley Graham is at it again. The supermodel, swimwear designer, and body positive activist has partnered with Pronovias, a global leader in luxury bridal, to create a collection of size-inclusive wedding gowns that don't compromise on style. Because she believes that no one should have to settle on a dress for their big day.
“When I shopped for my wedding dress ten years ago, I had difficulty finding a style in my size that fit well and made me feel special,” Graham said in a press release, recalling her experience trying on wedding gowns before marrying Justin Ervin in 2010. The dress she ended up falling in love with stopped at a size 10, so Graham had to add a panel in the back so that it would fit properly.
She hopes to change this experience for future brides with the Ashley Graham x Pronovias collection. “From shopping for the perfect wedding dress to the big reveal on your special day, women should feel confident and empowered throughout the entire process,” she said. “It's necessary for the bridal industry to be an advocate for inclusivity and body diversity, and therefore I'm honored to partner with the luxury leader, Pronovias, to offer beautiful and comfortable options in many sizes and styles.”
The 16-piece collection is available in sizes up to 34, with styles ranging from romantic, long-sleeve lace gowns and classic princess silhouettes for traditional brides to trend-forward dresses with a touch of Graham's signature sex appeal (think modern illusion backs and sheer skirts). Also worthy of mention: A gorgeous white tuxedo suit. The carefully-curated collection truly features something for every bride's style — and more importantly, each gown is designed to fit and flatter every woman's unique curves.
Today, Graham is on the front lines of fashion, bringing change to the industry, and we are glad to see that she is now using her voice and eye for design to bring similar change to the bridal industry, where curvy sizes have long been limited despite their demand. “I am delighted to be working with her on this collection,” said Alessandra Rinaudo, Chief Artistic Officer of Pronovias. “Thanks to her guidance we have improved further the fit and construction of our gowns to dress with style the dreams of all women.”
The Ashley Graham x Pronovias collection will be available in early 2020 at both Pronovias boutiques and partners across the globe. Dresses range from $1,000 to $3,500. Keep scrolling to take a closer look at some of our favorites from the collection before you book your appointment.
