From growing a baby to giving birth to breast implant removal surgery, Ashley Tisdale’s body has been through a lot of changes in the past year—and now the actress is celebrating its new, natural form.
On Monday, Tisdale took to Instagram Stories to share a photo of her changing shape, highlighting her cleavage in a low-cut tank top. “Got my implants taken out a year ago, got pregnant, and now have natural boobs ? life is funny,” she wrote.
Tisdale, who had her breast implants removed last year, gave birth to her daughter Jupiter in March and is now experiencing a phenomenon many new mothers encounter: bigger breasts. This growth spurt is common as the body prepares for breastfeeding, though it’s typically temporary.

In August 2020, the “High School Musical” star explained her decision to have breast explant surgery, citing health concerns. “This is probably the most personal post I’ve ever shared,” she wrote on Instagram before opening up about her experience.
“Little by little I began struggling with minor health issues that just were not adding up—food sensitivities as well as gut issues that I thought could be caused by my implants,” she continued. “So, last winter I decided to undergo implant removal.”
Tisdale explained that she originally got breast enhancement surgery because she felt her “body was less than” and that implants would make her “feel more whole and more secure about myself.” But after struggling with sudden health issues, she decided on the path of self-acceptance and had them removed.
“This journey has been one of growth, self discovery, self acceptance and most importantly self-love. This picture above was taken two months after my explant surgery and I think you can tell just how happy I am to finally be fully me.”
Just a few months later, Tisdale announced she was expecting her first child with husband Christopher French. Since giving birth in March, the new mom has been an open book about the changes it brought.
“I’m not trying to get back to who I was, there’s no way,” she shared in an Instagram post. “I’m on the road to discovering who I’m truly meant to be and there’s something in my daughters eyes that tells me she knows exactly who that’s gonna be ❤️.”
And just last week, she posted that she is finally starting to feel like herself again, though admitting everyday is different. Postpartum recovery takes time, as does self-acceptance. Props to Tisdale for being honest about her experience.
