This has been one of the longest winters we’ve seen, figuratively speaking, and embracing the fact that it will, at some point, come to an end is motivating at the very least. That’s why we are so eager to start investing in a spring wardrobe that sparks joy, and no silhouette welcomes the seasonal shift like breezy and bright spring dresses.

Once the weather warms up, there are few things more satisfying than slipping on a spring dress. The mood-boosting effect is undeniable, not to mention the effortless appeal. “Spring dresses are versatile, easy to throw on, and don’t take too much thought or planning,” says Ali Levine, celebrity stylist and founder of the podcast Everything With Ali Levine.
And while dresses serve as wardrobe staples, spring dresses offer an opportunity to be playful with your style. “Right now I am seeing a demand for bolder prints and a kaleidoscope of colors that go beyond your typical pastel florals,” says Pittsburgh-based personal style therapist and image consultant, Christina Stein. “Coming out of the pandemic, we want to be louder and live.”
Designers delivered, too. For spring 2022, we’re seeing vibrant jewel tones, cheery prints like retro florals and color-blocking, intricate textures like crochet and tulle, and more to get excited about. And now that you hopefully you have places to be this spring, it’s time to start shopping. In case you need some style inspiration, ahead we’ve rounded up some spring dresses for every occasion.
