Chrissy Teigen is an open book. Whether she's talking about her body insecurities or intimate treatments like vaginal steaming or underarm Botox injections, she doesn't hold much back when it comes to her personal life. So it comes as no surprise that the star took to social media to share that she will be having surgery to remove her breast implants.
Earlier this week, Teigen posted a posted a video in which she was receiving a test for COVID-19. After some initial backlash from the Twitterverse, she went onto explain the situation: “Everyone in L.A. can get tested for free. I’m having surgery and had to. I’m sorry if this offends you.”

Of course, people wanted to know more, so Teigen elaborated on Instagram: “Hi hi! So I posted myself getting a COVID test on the Twitter, as I’m getting surgery soon. A lot of people are understandably curious (and nosey!) so I’ll just say it here: I’m getting my boobs out!” she wrote, alongside a pretty nude photo with hearts placed over her nipples.
“They’ve been great to me for many years but I’m just over it. I’d like to be able to zip a dress in my size, lay on my belly with pure comfort! No biggie! So don’t worry about me! All good. I’ll still have boobs, they’ll just be pure fat. Which is all a tit is in the first place. A dumb, miraculous bag of fat. ❤️”

Teigen was met with a ton of support from other famous women who have done the same. “Life changing, you’re gonna love it. I got mine out last year. They were making me so sick. ,” commented Ayesha Curry, who has opened up about her own botched boob job. “Smart girl , ” added Yolanda Hadid, who recently revealed she is finally “living in a body free of breast implants, fillers, Botox” and more.
Fans praised Teigen's honestly, too. “Super grateful to have a celebrity like you keeping it real,” one wrote in the comments section. “You are incredible and will always have iconic boobs,” another assured the star.
Plastic surgery is a personal choice, and we applaud Chrissy Teigen for opening up about her decision to remove her breast implants. But we also applaud all the women showing their support without judgement. Love to see it!
