Chrissy Teigen Goes Gray, Calling It Her ‘Midlife Crisis’ Look

Chrissy Teigen has a lot on her plate. The mom-of-two is a television host, producer, and author of two cookbooks, which have expanded into a collection of cookware items. She also just launched a line of plant-based cleaning products.

Needless to say, Teigen is a busy woman—and it might be starting to show. Over the weekend, she debuted shiny gray strands, referring to it as her “midlife crisis hair.” Showing off the new look in an Instagram video, she wrote, “Trust me, it’s my midlife, LOL.”

In a follow-up post, Teigen assured fans that she was okay. “I’m ok really!!!” she captioned an Instagram video in which she is seen posing in front of a mirror, her long gray hair on display.

It turns out, though, that Teigen’s icy new look is a wig. The star is working on a project with comedian Sebastian Maniscalco (add that to her resume), and she posted a photo of the group to Instagram.

“This man, one of the most brutally funny people I’ve ever met, didn’t say a word about my midlife crisis hair for the entire taping,” she captioned the post.

Teigen is no stranger to wigs. In February, she experimented with a pastel pink bob as well as a super long version of she shade. Before that, in January, she rocked a bright purple hair piece. “The wig life … chose me,” she wrote on Instagram.

“I swear I’m okay! I realize this looks like I’m having a crisis lol I just wanna start looking the way I’ve always wanted to!!” she joked in another post.

Although Teigen is a color chameleon, pulling off any hair color she chooses, she always seems to return to her signature honey blonde shade. And from her latest Instagram posts, it appears she has already ditched the silver wig.

Crisis over? We hope so, though we were really digging this look. Can’t wait to see what she tries next.
