When it comes to aging, Gwyneth Paltrow has nothing to hide. To celebrate her 48th birthday, the actress and wellness entrepreneur posted a photo of herself posing nude—and wow! She looks amazing.
“In nothing but my birthday suit today,” Paltrow wrote on Instagram alongside the photo. The steamy snap shows the star strategically posed with one arm over her chest and her leg popped to avoid revealing too much. However, her toned figure is on full display.
She continued the caption, promoting a new Goop product: “Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes and thank you to @goop's insanely amazing brand new body butter for making me think I can still get my kit off.”
To no surprise, Paltrow’s post has since received a ton of attention, getting nearly one million likes in 24 hours. Several stars wished her a happy birthday in the comment section while others praised her appearance.
“Happy Birthday! What a beautiful girl you are and inspiring in so many ways,” wrote actress Courtney Cox. “You got it!! Flaunt it,” added supermodel Naomi Campbell.
New mom Katy Perry joked: “Love this low profile way to celebrate.”
Paltrow’s 16-year-old daughter, Apple, chimed in, too, and it seems she was less than thrilled with the post. She simply wrote “MOM” in the comments section.
And though the 48-year-old bombshell appears to ooze confidence, Paltrow has previously opened up about her insecurities. “I've always felt so funny about my looks,” Paltrow said on an episode of Goop's podcast, The Beauty Closet. “I think that it's very rare to think that you're a beautiful person, and so, I feel like every other woman, like I don't see that when I look in the mirror.”
“It's a weird thing to be,” she continued, referring to being considered a beautiful person. “I think when you come to age, if you have this broad identity as that, what does it mean to get wrinkles and get closer to menopause? And all these things, and it's like, what happens to your identity as a woman if you're not f–kable and beautiful?”
More recently, she described aging as a “multi-layered experience” on Instagram. But if you ask us, age certainly looks good on Paltrow.
