Jennifer Lopez Responded To Troll Who Accused Her Of Getting ‘Tons’ Of Botox

Hot on the heels of launching her new beauty brand, JLo Beauty, Jennifer Lopez has been sharing some of her skincare secrets. The megastar credits a mix of healthy lifestyle habits, natural treatments like olive oil, and her products to her glowing complexion, so when someone accused her of getting Botox, JLo shut them down immediately.

This past weekend, Lopez posted an Instagram video of herself trying out a new face mask from the JLo Beauty line. “Honestly, I cannot even see a line on my face,” she says after removing the product, revealing the results. “It is glowy and gorgeous and tight and yummy. It’s the best mask I’ve ever tried…Leave it on for 20 minutes and 10 years—I feel like it took 10 years off my face.”

One follower wasn’t buying it though. “But can I just mention that brows and forehead doesn’t move at all when you talk or try to express. You definitely have Botox. And tons of it,” the follower wrote in the comments section. “And it’s all good. Just saying.”

Lopez, who has remained adamant that she has never gotten injectable treatments or plastic surgery, didn’t let the comment stand. “LOL, that’s just my face!!! For the 500 millionth time…I have never done Botox or any injectables or surgery. Just sayin.” she fired back in the comment section.

The 51-year-old icon went on to offer some advice to her doubters. “Get you some JLO Beauty and feel beautiful in your own skin!! And here is another JLO Beauty secret: try spending your time being more positive, kind and uplifting of others,” she continued. “Don’t spend your time trying to bring others down that will keep you youthful and beautiful too!!! Sending you love.”

She finished the response with the hashtag, #BeautyHasNoExpirationDate, referencing her beauty brand’s tagline.

But despite Lopez’s adamance that she has never used Botox or fillers, she has nothing against them—it’s simple a personal choice. “I’m not that person. I don’t have anything against people doing that; it’s just not my thing,” she previously told Glamour, though she isn’t ruling it out completely. “I don’t want to have to go to the needles at some point. I’m not saying one day I won’t, but I haven’t yet. I like that I have a more natural look.”

Lopez launched JLo Beauty on January 1, 2021, with eight products: an anti-aging serum, hydrating cream, creamy gel cleanser, SPF 30, multitasking eye cream, color-correcting highlighter, collagen supplements, and the sheet mask used in the video above. Each product features the brand’s proprietary, antioxidant-rich olive oil blend, and was designed to deliver real results.

“This is my mission with JLo Beauty, to make you feel beautiful in your own skin. When it’s just you. Not when you have to put on fillers and filters and all this stuff that we do on social media to feel beautiful. This is where you want to feel the most beautiful,” she said in an Instagram video after off her skincare routine using her JLo Beauty products.
