Khloe Kardashian is no stranger to switching up her hairstyles. From short blonde bobs to extra-long brunette strands, she has sported a number of looks, but one thing remains consistent: her hair is typically styled straight. So, you might be surprised to learn that Khloe has naturally curly hair.
On Friday, the reality star showed off her “natural hair texture” in a series of gym selfies posted to Instagram — and she is almost unrecognizable. In the pics, her honey bronde hair is styled in springy curls that hit just below her shoulders.
“I rarely wear my natural hair texture,” Khloe captioned the post. “Felt kinda cute with it (please don’t ruin the feeling).” The slideshow also includes two videos, during which she runs her fingers through her hair to fluff it up so that you can better see her natural curl pattern.

Despite Khloe’s concern over criticism she might receive, her followers seem to approve of the look. Many even took to the comments to say that she should embrace her natural texture more often. “Your natural texture is my FAVORITE.. ??,” wrote celebrity hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons.
“It is so cute! Please don’t ever let anyone ruin your good feel,” commented one fan. “Omg. Your curly hair screams you so much more!!!! Girl grow that out and rock the Fk out those amazing curls!!!” another added.
Of course, not everyone was as complimentary. A number of comments come from people claiming this is not Khloe’s natural hair texture. As if they would know? To clear things up, Khloe took to Instagram stories to elaborate.
“I’ve been getting straightening treatments on my hair for years. I’ve been getting Brazilian blowouts and other treatments since I was a teenager. I stopped because of COVID. I actually kinda like my curls,” she wrote above a photo of herself as a child.
Her hair was, in fact, super curly and cute back then, too.
Now, the only question left unanswered is what products Khloe uses to get such beautiful, bouncy curls. Here’s to hoping she drops her hair-care routine in a follow up post.
