LeAnn Rimes is prioritizing her health and well-being with a new treatment.

After a “busy year of filming and touring,” the actress and singer cleared her body of “micro-toxins” through a plasma exchange at Next Health in Nashville, Tennessee.

$10,000 Health Treatment

Rimes was able to remove “mold and micoplastics” from her body through the use of TPE.

“Therapeutic Plasma Exchange, also known as TPE or plasmapheresis, is a medical treatment that removes the liquid portion of blood, known as plasma, which contains proteins, antibodies, toxins, inflammatory agents, and other substances, and replaces it with fresh albumin,” Rimes explained on her Instagram post.

She shared several photos during the process, hooked up to IVs, and showing off a bag of yellow-colored liquid that was once inside her.

According to Next Health, where she got the treatment, the $10,000 procedure is designed to “remove plasma from your blood to eliminate inflammatory proteins, toxins, and cellular waste, then replace it with sterile albumin to replenish essential nutrients.”

Rimes also adds stem cells into her treatment to kickstart her body’s repair after a long period of concerts and filming.

“I demand so much from my body and it’s incredibly important to me to take the best care of it i possibly can,” she commented on Instagram.

The singer has always been “passionate about health and open conversations around it,” and hopes to “continue the dialogue around what healing can look like.”

Teeth Incident

A lot of Rimes’ recent health pushes correlate to a brief incident the singer had last summer with her teeth.

For those who don’t know, Rimes got veneers after struggling with a long history of dental issues. She still struggles with her now-false teeth, when, during a concert in Washington, her front teeth fell out of her mouth.

Revealing the story online, Rimes explained, “This is the most epic example of how the show must go on. Last night, I was onstage in the middle of ‘One Way Ticket’ and I felt something pop in my mouth.”

“If you’ve been around, you know that I’ve had a lot of dental surgeries, and I have a bridge in front, and it fell out in the middle of my song last night.”

LeAnn Rimes panicked, running off the stage in the middle of the song to pop the bridge back into place before returning center stage.

“For the rest of the show… I was literally, like this, pushing my teeth in, like, every couple of lines,” she continued. “Like ‘Can’t Fight the Moonlight,’ they completely fell again in my mouth. It was the most epic experience ever.”

Not Accessible to Everyone

While Rimes posted the effects TPE has on her body, and how it helps her recuperate, she’s not blind to the price, especially for her fans.

She noted in the social media post that she was “very aware that access to treatments like this isn’t universal,” adding, “I share with sensitivity and humility, not as a prescription, but as information about what’s been working for me.”
