Rebel Wilson made headlines with her stunning 80-pound weight loss after starting a “year of health” in 2020.
Today, she’s getting candid about her weight loss and accepting her body, whether it’s made for a bikini or not.
Candid Post

While Wilson may maintain an active lifestyle and eat “as healthy” as she can, she did realize something about her body this week.
The actress posted a photo of herself on Instagram Stories, showing off her slimmer figure in a black sports bra and shorts.
She wrote, “I don’t think I’ll ever have a bikini body – that’s just not me. But my body has carried me through this life and I am so grateful for it!”
Instead of looking for perfection, Wilson is opting for balance and happiness in the body she has.
There have been moments where Wilson has posted herself in swimsuits, including a selfie of her in a bikini in 2021 and again in 2022.
Fitness and Food
In another Instagram Stories post, Rebel Wilson expanded upon her fitness and food habits.
“I’m trying to get in my daily steps, do a Pilates class once or twice a week, some strength training where I can, eat as healthy as I can.” Though she did admit at the end, “but let’s face it I love sweets – so I need those GLPs from time to time to give a little help.”
That way, she can maintain her slimmer physique while still sneaking a sweet now and then.
Being a Mom
Finally, Rebel Wilson posted a photo of her and her daughter, Royce Lillian (3), whom she welcomed via surrogate in November 2022 with her wife Ramona Agruma. Agruma is now pregnant with their second child.
She finished by writing, “Being a working Mum, you just try your best! Shout out to everyone trying to be the healthiest versions of themselves while dealing with a LOT!”
Wilson has commented about being a parent before in an interview with Daily Mail in 2023, including balancing it with her health journey.
“I did gain weight once I had my baby, because although I didn’t give birth to her and I didn’t need to lose any baby weight, I had just gained weight from the lack of sleep and from the change in my lifestyle,” Wilson shared.
“For instance, now I can’t go to the gym as often as I used to. I’m just not working out as much, so that has slowed me down.”
Media Attention from Weight Loss
Last year, Rebel Wilson opened up about the attention she received about her weight loss transformation.
She spoke with Kelly Ripa on Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, sharing, “I was shocked with how much attention I got just for losing weight when I’d done so many things in my life. But then somehow that seemed to get so much attention. Like, I’ve got two degrees from university and done a lot of great work as an actor and producer and everything, but losing weight was the thing that people seem to be really interested in.”
While some of the attention was “weird” for her, Wilson understood the “fascination” behind weight loss.
She added, “When I watched people that I really like, like Oprah, and whenever she was doing an episode about weight loss or something I’d be so intrigued. So I got the fascination with it.”
