Britney Spears is enjoying her freedom from the 13-year long conservatorship that controlled nearly every aspect of her life, and she is taking to social media to show it. After sharing several topless photos over the last couple of months, the popstar recently posted her most revealing one yet.

On Thursday, January 6, Spears posted a fully naked selfie on Instagram, with strategically placed emojis covering her private parts. “Free woman energy has never felt better,” she wrote in the caption.

Spears also turned off comments on the post, as it’s our guess that she doesn’t give a f*ck what anyone has to say about it. For her, nude selfies seem to be a way in which she has been expressing her freedom and showing that she is now in control of her life.

Free woman energy, indeed.

Of course, this wasn’t her first risque post. A quick scroll through her Instagram will show a number of topless selfies and videos.

“Anyways I bet you’re wondering why I’d expose my body NOW,” Spears wrote in an Instagram post back in August 2021. “Well it’s because I was born into this world naked and I honestly feel like the weight of the would has been on my shoulders and it’s made me view myself that way!”

She continued: “I wanted to see myself in a lighter way … naked … like the way I was born and to me looking back at my pictures when I shoot it’s insane the psychology in seeing myself in my purest form gives evidence that pain … hurt … tears … and heavy burdens aren’t who I am…”

On November 13, a judge ended a conservatorship controlling Spears and her estate. “I love my fans so much it’s crazy!!! I think I’m gonna cry the rest of the day !!!! Best day ever,” Spears wrote in response to the news.

Since regaining her freedom, Spears has been enjoying small joys many of us may take for granted, like possessing the keys to our car. And while we do not know what’s next for Spears, she has hinted that new project is in the works. However, it’s safe to say she probably won’t be returning to the stage anytime soon.

“I guess it seems odd to most why I don’t even do music anymore… People have no idea the awful things they have done to me personally and after what I’ve been through, I’m scared of people and the business!!!,” Spears, who last performed publicly in October 2018, explained last month.

“Not doing my music anymore is my way of saying ‘Fuck You’ in a sense when it only actually benefits my family by ignoring my real work. It’s like I’ve subconsciously let them win,” she said.
