You might not think of the Super Bowl as a place for fashion, but the star-studded event delivers a big dose of style. From the half-time stage to the VIP suites, celebrities show up and show out. Half-time performer Mary J. Blige, for example, sported a leopard-print sequin set with thigh-high boots and a cowboy hat while Jhené Aiko stunned in head-to-toe sparkles. Aside from the performers, though, there seemed to be an unspoken dress code for the night: the early aughts.

Much like the epic half-time show, the sideline fashion was a serious throwback. Celebrities like Hailey Bieber and Olivia Rodrigo kept it casual in low-rise pants and crop tops, Vanessa Bryant wore a cutoff jean jacket and graphic tee, and Jennifer Lopez went with a short-sleeve blouse with puff sleeves (remember those?). Oh, and let’s not forget Rihanna, who showed off her baby bump in a sheer top and bomber jacket. Ahead, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite fashion looks from the 2022 Super Bowl.

Of course we have to start this list with Mary J. Blige who owned the stage in this leopard-print sequin set courtesy of Dundas. We were speechless.

Performing “America the Beautiful” during the Super Bowl LVI Pregame, Jhené Aiko stunned in a high-slit, head-to-toe sequinned gown.

Mickey Guyton looked beautiful in a cobalt blue gown while performing a memorable version of the “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

In true Rihanna maternity fashion, the singer showed off her baby bump in a sheer blue blouse and low-rise baggy jeans.

Vanessa Bryant sported a graphic tee of half-time performer Snoop Dogg wearing a shirt that reads “Kobe Is King” and cutoff jean jacket.

Cardi B’s distressed denim dress gives us major “Britney Spears at the 2001 VMAs” vibes.

Megan Thee Stallion delivered the perfect amount of nostalgia in this mini-skirt set by Chanel, which she accessorized with a diamond choker and belly chain. All that’s missing is butterfly clips.

Rita Ora looked effortlessly cool in an ivory co-ord set and high-top Nike sneakers.

Olivia Rodrigo went all in on the early 2000s trend, with low-rise leather pants, a butterfly printed tank, chunky jewelry, and black moto boots. She finished the look with trendy antenna fringe.

Wearing cutoff jean shorts and black tights, paired with an oversized cargo jacket, Beyoncé didn’t disappoint with this sexy take on the ’90s trend.

Hailey Bieber kept it super casual in baggy jeans, a cropped tank, slouchy cardigan, and…a pair of old-school Asics.

Hand in hand with boyfriend Ben Afflect, which is a throwback in its own right, J.Lo wore wide-leg jeans, a short-sleeve, button-down blouse, and matching white blazer.

A bandanna top and leather pants — it doesn’t get much more ’90s than Doja Cat’s Super Bowl fit.
