When it comes to keeping the passion alive, it’s all about setting the mood. And while it may sound cliché, creating a playlist is worth the effort. Research shows that listening to music helps us narrow our attention, so that we focus on the activity at hand and less on negative emotions or distractions. That’s not to mention all the rhythmic coordination music allows for while—please forgive me for this pun—dancing in the sheets.

Bottom line: Music can make a sexual experience more enjoyable. But what songs exactly help boost the mood? This comes down to personal preference, of course, but to determine the most popular songs people have sex to these days, OnBuy researchers scoured 500 sex-related playlists with terms like “sexual,” “romance,” “bedroom,” and even emojis like, you guess it, the eggplant. Of over 45,000 songs total, they recorded the most commonly recurring ones.

At the top of the list is Cardi B’s new hit, WAP, featuring Megan Thee Stallion, which was found in 197 of the 500 playlists. It’s been two months since the song was released, and it remains in the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Streaming Songs Chart. With NSFW lyrics like “make it cream, make me scream” and “gobble me, swallow me,” it makes sense that a lot of the streams are coming from the bedroom.

In second place, featured in 186 out of 500 playlists, is Often by The Weeknd. His sultry sound makes for the ultimate soundtrack to sex, and pretty much anything by The Weeknd will help set the mood IMHO. His voice alone is seductive enough to make your toes curl, but this song, specifically, is the perfect mix of stunning vocals, sexy lyrics, and unhurried basses.

Third on the list is Pony by Ginuwine, which appeared in 175 sex-related playlists. Another slow jam, this throwback was released in 1996 and became the bump-n-grind anthem of our generation. The lyrics are shameless (“My saddle’s waiting, come and jump on it”) and the rhythm is infectious. So while you may be laughing, deep down, you know you can’t resist gettin’ it on to Ginuwine.

“Birthday Sex” by Jeremih comes in fourth with 169 appearances, with Rihanna’s “Sex With Me” in fifth place. Scroll on for the complete list of top songs people have sex to.
