Charlize Theron may be 50 years old, but she’s not letting that stop her from staying in shape and keeping her body strong.

The Hollywood actress recently stunned in Hawaiian vacation pictures, sharing her strategies for diet, exercise, and aging.

Vacation Bikini Pics

The South African native recently went on vacation to Hawaii. Theron enjoyed a sunny beach day, complete in a striking bandeau-style yellow bikini.

As she came out of the waves, her taut figure proved why she’s still one of the best leading ladies in the industry.

She spent the tropical vacation during spring break with her daughters, Jackson and August.

Strict Diet

Charlize Theron keeps a strict diet to keep her body slim, often watching what she’s eating and drinking.

During an interview with Red in 2017, Theron shared that she does not drink alcohol and bases all her meals around leafy greens and a more plant-based composition.

“I have juices and kale and green salads every day. When I’m eating healthily, getting enough sleep and not drinking alcohol, that’s when I look my best. That’s when I’m happiest, and I think it shows,” she said. A

long with staying green, Charlize Theron prefers a grazing mindset, often opting for “six small meals per day” instead of three larger meals.

While she occasionally indulges in other foods like burgers, she limits her consumption. For instance, she’ll only “have a quarter of one” burger.

Staying Active

As for working out, Charlize Theron likes to blend a variety of routines, though she does prize one more than the other.

Similar to many other Hollywood stars and other prominent figures, Pilates is Theron’s workout of choice to maintain her toned, strong body shape.

During an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Australia, she said the Pilates workout “changed [her] body” and she mainly uses it as a form of movement during the day.

“I’m always calculating my activity. If I haven’t been moving a lot, I can’t eat a lot. Or maybe it’s a cheat day. But I’m honest with myself,” she shared.

While Pilates may be her go-to, that doesn’t mean Charlize Theron doesn’t appreciate other workouts as well. This includes power yoga and two 90-minute workout classes a week.

For when she wants to break a sweat, Theron goes spinning up to four times a week or goes for a round of tennis.

“If you do exercise you enjoy, you’re keeping yourself fit without even realising it,” she added.

Thoughts on Aging

The Hollywood actress looks stunning for 50, but she’s still aware of naturally aging in the upcoming years.

During an interview with AnOther magazine in February, Theron talked about aging, stating, “I’m not going to be able to stop this process.”

“I’m not scared of aging,” she explained. “I just want mobility for as long as I can possibly have it. I want to be able to feel strong for as long as I possibly can. My mom is 74, and she hikes every morning. The other day she lifted a 78-pound dog into the back of her car like it was nothing. I’m like, ‘OK, I really lucked out with genetics.'”

She then joked about her mother’s two knee replacements making her feel better about aging, saying, “I have a surgery after every movie, but that’s just making me stronger. I’m going to be bionic by the end of it.”
